  • Visual quality and action scenes.

❗ What divides us

  • The liberties taken with regard to books.

  • Some narrative rhythms vary according to the seasons.

Despite this criticism, The Witcher remains one of the platform's most popular fantasy series and retains a solid fan base.

Our opinion

I absolutely loved The Witcher. For me, it's one of the best series I've ever watched. The story is profoundly original., unlike most current fantasy productions, and it successfully blends emotion, tension, and complexity with a genuine identity. The special effects are impeccably executed, and the fight scenes are varied and impressive. — whether it be magic, weapons, political ambitions, or power struggles — and the actors embody their roles with intensity.

The only thing I didn't like quite as much was the change of actor for Geralt starting in season 4I was fond of Henry Cavill's performance, which gave the character a very special aura. Liam Hemsworth does well and remains an excellent actor, but in my opinion, he has not yet achieved the depth that Cavill brought to the Witcher. That said, his arrival brings a new dynamic to the series, and it is interesting to see how he gradually takes on the role.

Conclusion

The Witcher has established itself as an essential saga for fans of fantasy and dark stories. With its complex characters, rich universe, and blend of magic, violence, and emotion, the series offers a unique adventure on Netflix.

With a Season 5 in preparation to conclude this epic sagaNow is the perfect time to (re)immerse yourself in the Continent and follow Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer's final battle.
